THE EMPIRE PLAN
(NEW YORK STATE HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN “NYSHIP”) The Empire Plan covers acupuncture treatment at 100% after a $20 co-pay. There are no visit limits for this plan. The ID number of the card must begin with “890”. Please call our office with your insurance information to find out benefit coverage.

BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD

Aetna has plans that do and do not cover acupuncture treatment. Many of the Aetna plans may cover Acupuncture in lieu of anesthesia. This means that Acupuncture is a covered benefit in replacement of anesthesia for surgery.
